ATF-Approved Gun Trusts
“Politicians prefer unarmed peasants – Protect the Second Amendment!”
At Jeffrey & Mitchell, P.C., we understand and support your right to keep and bear arms, as allowed by the Second Amendment. In an effort to assist and support those clients wishing to preserve and exercise their Second Amendment rights, we are pleased to offer NFA Gun Trusts.
The National Firearms Act (the "NFA") regulates the sale, use, possession, and transfer of Title II (or Class III) weapons. Title II (or Class III) weapons include: machine guns, short-barreled shotguns and rifles, silencers, destructive devices, destructive devices (“DD”) and any other weapons (“AOW”). The NFA prohibits a private citizen from purchasing or owning a Title II weapon without government approval. Not surprisingly, government approval is not easily obtained. However, in Texas, those individuals who wish to possess Title II (or Class III) weapons may use a NFA Gun Trust as a vehicle to obtain these weapons.
An NFA Gun Trust is an ATF-approved gun trust. It is tailored to ensure compliance with the NFA and Chapter 46 of the Texas Penal Code. Furthermore, an NFA Gun Trust is private, does not require a filing fee, fingerprints or photographs, and does not require the signature of your chief law enforcement officer. More importantly, it can protect your firearms and weapons, even after your death. To schedule an appointment with an attorney, please call our office at (830) 438 – 8935.
